ICICI Onesource to create jobs in Ireland ICICI OneSource has announced plans to create 1,000 jobs in its new Irish call centre based in Belfast. The centre is already operational with 60 employees so far. ICICI OneSource's British clients are mainly from financial services and telecom. Talecris Biotherapeutics awards contract to Siemens Siemens Business Services (SBS) has won a $69.6 million contract from US-based Talecris Biotherapeutics. SBS will manage IT infrastructure all all locations of the client company. The duration of the contract was not disclosed. Achievo to acquire BBX US-based IT company Achievo has agreed to acquire Chinese IT company Beijing Beifang Xinyu Information Technology (BBX). The acquisition will add 450 employees and help Achievo strenghten its presence in the Japanese market. IBM to acquire MRO Software IBM will acquire MRO Software, a US-based asset and service management solutions provider. The acquisition will cost IBM $740 million. IBM will integrate MRO Software's services and technology with its own offerings to provide clients a consolidated approach to asset management. Tecnova set to separate IT and BPO divisions Tecnova India is set to divest its IT services and BPO divisions from its core consulting business. The firm focuses on cross border entry and outsourcing for US and European companies. The IT and BPO services business was under heavy margin pressures. Lloyds outsources HR to Xansa Lloyds TSB has awarded a 5-year HR outsourcing contract to outsourcing and technology services provider Xansa. The contract covers functions such as administration, recruitment and helpdesks among other processes. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Related Items: |
