Genpact, third Indian BPO listed in the US On Thursday, Genpact was listed on the New York Stock Exchange at $14 per share. The IPO had a target of about $565-635 but raised $494.11 million, due to an unstable market. The BPO sold about 35.29 million shares equal to a 17% stake. After WNS and ExlService, Genpact is the third Indian BPO to list in the US. Wipro acquires US-based Infocrossing Wipro has acquired US-based Infocrossing (FY06 revenues at $229 million) for an estimated $600 million. Infocrossing is into IT infrastructure outsourcing, BPO solutions, Healthcare, IT, enterprise application services and managed services.
Philippines Accenture inaugurates first branch outside Manila Accenture, one of the largest IT companies in the Philippines is opening its first branch outside Manila in Cebu. The US based firm's new unit will generate 500 - 700 jobs. With more than 40 delivery centers around the world, the Company spent $700 million in 2006 for professional development and training globally. IPVG buys Globalstride for $1million
IPVG Corp. and its BPO subsidiary, IP Contact Center Outsourcing Inc. (IPCCO), acquired the fixed assets and material contracts of Globalstride Corp. as well as the accounts of Globalstride Holdings for $1 million. The deal increases the Company's contact business to 350 seats. Genpact bidding for Citigroup Global Services
Genpact is rumoured to be bidding to acquire Citigroup Global Services valued at about $700-800 million. The company intends growing by increasing services through strategic acquisitions thus enhancing their services, entering new industries and expanding globally.
