Genpact ranked Best Performing BPO
 
Global Services 100 listing for 2007 has ranked Genpact as the leader in the Top 10 Best-Performing BPO and Top 10 Leaders in Human Capital Development categories. Genpact competed with ACS, Perot Systems and WNS in the 'Best Performing BPO Providers' category. Genpact's winning points were its global delivery network with centers in India, China, Philippines, Romania Hungary, US and Mexico; excellence in processes; and the Six Sigma initiative..  
    
Xansa India to double employee strength to 10,000
 
Xansa India will double its headcount from current 5000 to 10000 and invest additional 25 million pounds by 2010. The staff strength at its Noida center will be increased to 6,000 from the current 1,600. The additional investment will be utilized to develop facilities in India at Noida, Pune and Chennai.  
    
ClientLogic completes acquisition of SITEL

ClientLogic has merged with SITEL Corporation by acquiring all outstanding common stock of SITEL at $4.25 per share in cash. The merged entity with over 65,000 employees across 28 countries has annual revenues of $1.8 billion. Dave Garner, former CEO and President of ClientLogic, will continue to be the CEO and President of the combined entity.
    
Caritor to acquire Keane

Caritor, Inc. an IT services provider will acquire Keane, Inc (NYSE: KEA), in an all-cash deal for $854 million. Keane is a prominent BPO and IT services provider and is likely to continue operating under the same name. The combined entity will have over 14,000 employees and $1 billion in revenues.  
   
Novartis-Genpact deal

Novartis has announced outsourcing of some of its business processes to India. The pharma giant has signed a deal with the outsourcing provider Genpact for support services in its accounting and purchasing activities.
