Infosys BPO targets Europe for acquisitions Zyme, analytic process outsourcing firm, is looking to expand its operations. The company, which was founded in 2004, currently employs more than 75 analysts in its Bangalore center and plans are on way to double the workforce by the end of 2007. Vertex Financial Services signed an outsourcing contract with Rooftop Mortgages subsidiary of Bear Sterns As per the new contract, Vertex will provide online funding release, servicing administration, securitization and portfolio trading services to the client and will initially deploy 27 employees at its head office in Cheltenham. 3i Infotech has launched BPO service offerings targeting the fund accounting service in the Middle East and African mutual funds sector. 3i Infotech also offers a range of banking and financial solutions such as Kastle, AMLOCK, MFund suite, iBOSS and Premia. Encora Group merges operations with Meritos Technologies to expand global outsourced product engineering services segment. The merged entity, Encora, will target $100 mn revenue in next 3 years. With 160 plus employees currently, the merged entity plans to add 450 people in the current year and 1500 in next three years in Bangalore and Mumbai. Capgemini, European software and outsourcing services giant, is planning an aggressive growth in India. In the past one year Capgemini acquired Kanbay and Indigo in India. With more than 13,000 employees in India currently, they target to reach 40,000 employees in the next three years. Perot Systems,USA, has entered the Indian IT services market thus adding to the list of multinationals such as IBM, and Accenture. Perot has had offshore delivery from 4 Indian cities since past 10 years, but now is venturing to cater to the Indian market. Perot's current manpower strength in India is about a fifth of its global workforce. |
