IBM enters into a deal with American Airlines
 
IBM has signed an HR outsourcing deal worth $217 million with American Airlines spread across seven-and-a-half years. The deal involves providing support for training, staffing and recruitment, IT and call center support for all of IBM employees in the US and Canada. IBM will work along with Mercer HR Services, which will take care of health & benefits and pension and payroll management.
    
Aviva signs outsourcing deal with Swiss Re
 
Norwich Union, the UK arm of Britain's largest insurer Aviva has outsourced the administration of life and pensions policies to reinsurer Swiss Re. As part of the deal Swiss Re will take on administration of the policies by the year-end, and approximately 1,000 Norwich Union employees will move to Swiss Re. 

Genpact acquires ICE Enterprise solutions
 
Genpact has acquired a European SAP service provider, ICE Enterprise Solutions.Genpact is one of the leading providers of Oracle E-business solutions, and has ERP, application professionals in India, China, US and UK. This strategic acquisition enables Genpact to service its customers by combining platforms, processes and business intelligence.
    
Temasek sells off stake in Apollo 

Temasek Holdings has sold its entire 5.26% stake in Apollo Hospitals Enterprise for $30 million (INR 1336.8 million). Two investment firms Maxwell Mauritius Pte and Aranda Investments Pte held the stakes in the company.
    
American Airlines moves call center from Australia to India

American Airlines has moved its Asia-Pacific call center operations from Australia to India. The call center services will be provided by Bird Information Systems from New Delhi.
    
WNS to acquire Marketics

WNS has announced the acquisition of Marketics, a Bangalore-based analytics company for $65 million. About $30 million will be paid at the closing of deal and an earn-out payment of $35 million over 12 months. This acquisition is driven by the need to strengthen the knowledge services business of WNS.
