Healthcare BPO Lake Systems expands to Nasik
 
Lake Systems, a Bangalore based medical transcription company plans to expand to Nasik. The company currently has around 150 employees in Bangalore and plans to initially hire 100 employees for its Nasik center.
    
Sparsh BPO to list on BSE
 
Sparsh, the domestic subsidiary of Intelenet Global Services will be listing on BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange). The paid-up equity capital of the company prior to share allotment (82,35,225 equity shares of face value of INR 10 each fully paid up) was INR 82.35 million ($1.88 million). The companies will be permitted to trade from 26th March 2007.
    
TVS Infotech to double manpower
 
Chennai-based TVS Infotech plans to ramp up operations from the current 250 to about 500 by the end of 2007. The company provides ERP services to the domestic market and application development and maintenance services to customers in the US and Europe.
    
HCL to bid for Cambridge 

HCL Technologies is speculated to bid for the acquisition of BPO Cambridge Solutions, which is valued at around $350 million. The deal value may be in the range of $150 million and will enable HCL to widen its footprint.  
    
Sitel plans to increase investment in India 

Sitel, the BPO major with over 65,000 employees across 28 countries plans to invest around $20 million in India in 2007-08. The company has four centers in India and plans to double the capacity in its Gurgaon center.  
    
Threshers signs outsourcing deal with Xansa 

Threshers, a drinks retailer has entered a five-year outsourcing deal with Xansa. The deal worth £8 million will involve handling support and core applications management as well as the central IT systems for 300 headoffice employees of Threshers.  
    
Bahlsen enters in an outsourcing Contract with TDS

German cookie manufacturer, Bahlsen has signed a BPO contract with TDS. The deal involves IT services as well as payroll-processing services for the 2,200 employees of Bahlsen in Germany.
   
Capita enters outsourcing deal with Southampton city council 

The Capita Group has signed a 10-year outsourcing deal with Southampton city council. The deal worth £290 million involves customer services, HR, payroll and benefits, IT, revenues procurement and property services. A contact center will be set up which will transfer about 600 employees of the council to Capita.
