Neilsoft, Triplan plan a joint venture
 
Pune-based Neilsoft and Europe-based Triplan have formed a joint venture with the latter holding 40% and former 60% stake. The JV will develop and distribute plant design software solutions of IT and Factory (Cadison, Tricad Original) for petrochemicals, life sciences, food and beverages, chemicals and process plant segments.
    
Global Graphics Software to develop present and next generation solutions
 
Global Graphics Software sets up R&D center in Pune to develop its present and next generation solutions based on Microsoft's new print and document format.  
    
Co-op Financial Services and Xansa expanding outsourcing partnership
 
Co-operative Financial Services (CFS) and Xansa will expand outsourcing partnership in a contract worth UBP100 million over 5 years to provide Application Development and Support (ADS) services from UK and India. This will add insurance to the present banking business, and will enable CFS to respond better to regulatory pressures, and expand and enhance its product lines.  
    
Genpact ties up with ACCA, GTG to provide global accounting knowledge 

Genpact joins Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and Get Through Guides (GTG) to provide global accounting standards in the marketplace. Over 125 finance and accounting staff from Genpact would study for ACCA's diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR).  
    
Wipro to invest over $90 million in Pune center 

Wipro Technologies is increasing operations in Pune with an investment of $90 million. The facility would accommodate 17,000 employees in the next five years making Pune Wipro's second largest IT development center after Bangalore.  
    
Delta Airlines cancels contract with IBM Daksh

Delta Airlines has pulled out its back office operations from IBM Daksh. About 500 people were working under Delta processes. IBM also gives services to United Airlines. Employees working for Delta shifted to other United Airlines processes. The reasons for the pull out were not known.  
    
Delphi to outsource 650 finance jobs to India's Genpact

Delphi Corp. is outsourcing handling its bills and receipts to Genpact in an 88-month contract. The shift will affect 650 Delphi positions worldwide. The Company will spend up to $220 million including payments to Genpact by shifting work. It will still be saving USD150 million over the term of the contract.
