Fifth Third renews Convergys contract
 
Cincinnati-based bank Fifth Third Bancorp having a workforce of 21,000 and operating 18 affiliates with 1,161 bank branches has renewed its 5-year outsourcing contract with Convergys Corp. for human resources and payroll administration services.
    
EDS wins $1 billion deal with KarstadtQuelle
 
EDS has won a $1 billion contract to provide a range of technology services to KarstadtQuelle, German retail and travel outlets operator. EDS will acquire a 74.9% stake in Itellium (KarstadtQuelle's in-house IT subsidiary). KarstadtQuelle plans to retain a 25.1% stake in Itellium and will be still serviced by Atos Origin a French outsourcer under the existing terms.
    
Northgate buys majority stake in Arinso
 
HR software company, Northgate has bought a majority stake in Arinso, a leading provider of SAP-based HR services. Arinso presently employs greater than 2500 employees in 27 countries and the deal is valued at 378m euros (£257m) which will help build a 'technology agnostic' HR services business.
    
Perot wins Erie Family Life Insurance Company deal 

Erie Family Life Insurance Company has entered a multiyear policy administration contract with TAG, a Perot Systems company. Retaining sales service and support, underwriting and actuarial responsibilities, claims adjudication, they will migrate all products to Perot Systems' LifeSys policy administration system.
    
TeleTech announces Q1 results 

TeleTech Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEC), a global provider of BPO solutions reported a revenue of $326.6 million for Q1, 2007 a 22.9 % increase over last year. Revenue from offshore locations grew approximately 47 % to $127.1 million in Q1 representing 38% of the total revenue.  
    
Hewitt Associates inks deal with Rogers Communications

Hewitt Associates has signed a multi-year HR BPO services contract with Rogers Communications, Inc a leading communications and media Company. Hewitt will provide services like workforce administration, payroll, compensation and health and welfare administration services to 26000 employees of its client.
    
Hewitt Associates announces Q2 results 

Hewitt Associates, Inc. (NYSE:HEW), posted net revenues of $716.2 million a 6% increase in Q2, 2007 over the last year. Operating income for Q2 decreased to $18.8 million, from $51.2 million in the previous years quarter. Net income for Q2 decreased to $13.0 million. HR BPO revenues increased 5% to $131.2 million, and loss was $61.2 million in Q2. Consulting revenues increased 13%. Benefits Outsourcing segment revenues increased 2% in Q2 to $360.0 million, from $352.4 million and income decreased 10% in Q2 to $69.7 million.
