ETelecare's expansion plans
 
ETelecare Global solutions plans to open its sixth call center in Philippines with a capacity of 3,000 seats. The company employs 10,000 people and has 12 centers globally. Etelecare is the first Filipino BPO to be listed and traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange through ADRs.
    
Triton Corp on an acquisition spree
 
Triton Corp, an IT and BPO service provider has announced its plans to acquire two UK based firms. The company has picked up 100% stake in West Talk Corporate Ltd and 80% of New Beginnings Finance Ltd. 

Citigroup Global Services looks for a strategic partner
 
Citigroup Global Services, Citigroup's captive outfit will complete the first round of bidding by the end of this week. According to industry sources, a number of global IT companies like IBM, ADP, Genpact, Infosys and private equity firms like Blackstone and General Atlantic are in the bidding race.  
    
Accentia wins $2 mn healthcare contract 

Accentia Technologies won a $2 million healthcare contract from a leading hospital in the US. The company recently acquired Bangalore-based Asscent Infoserve Pvt Ltd in order to gain access to 600 seat BPO center.  
    
SPi opens a center in Vietnam 

SPi opened a new facility in Hanoi, Vietnam. The facility will support the publishing operations in India and the Philippines. The company plans to start by recruiting 350 personnel and aims to increase the headcount to 1300 by 2008.  
    
Aegis to expand its manpower

Aegis Communications Group Inc, Essar group's BPO arm plans to increase its manpower from the existing 700 to 1,500 people within a year. The company is in expansion mode and has acquired 65,000 square feet for the new facility. Further, the company has plans of setting up a center in Philippines.
