Software Paradigms acquires Comat
 
Mysore-based Software Paradigms India (SPI) has acquired Comat Technologies, which has capabilities in MT and LPO. Over 400 employees with Comat will shift to SPI's payroll, taking the latter's employee count to 1,000. SPI expects that acquisition of Comat will contribute 15% to the total revenue in 2007-08.  
    
BPO Management Services acquires HRMS
 
BPO Management Services (BPOMS) has acquired Human Resource MicroSystems (HRMS), a San Francisco-based provider of human resources software. The acquisition will expand BPOMS's customer base and enhance the HRO service offering. The company has plans to relocate the HRO business to the HRMS headquarters in San Francisco.  
    
IPO from Allied Digital Services
 
Allied Digital Services is releasing its initial public offer (IPO) to fund facilities and international acquisitions. Consequent to the issue, the promoter group's stake will be reduced from 79.5%, to 58.7%. Along with data management and maintenance contracts, the company will foray into technical BPO space with a facility of 250 seats. Allied also has plans to offer Remote management services (RMS) in near future.  
    
BT enters 6-yr services deal with Unisys 

BT has entered a six-year deal with Unisys Corporation to provide global managed services. BT will monitor and manage services for global Unisys clients in outsourcing contracts. BT has also signed another three-year deal with British Red Cross to support disaster relief activities across the globe.  
    
SBS adds client base by taking over PMC 

Sundaram Business Services (SBS) has acquired a majority stake in Professional Management Consultants (PMC). The all cash deal will help expand SBS's service offerings and provide access to PMC's top-notch clients. They currently have 20 clients and are expecting to add 15 more. SBS's employee count will double up to reach 1,600, post-acquisition.
    
SPi eyes inorganic growth in Asia 

Pi intends to augment their employee number in India from the current 1,300 to 2,000 over the next 6-8 months. The company's publishing and healthcare outsourcing facilities in India are based out of Chennai, Puducherry, New Delhi and Coimbatore. SPi's global BPO operations' revenues are forecasted to reach $200 million (currently $130 million) by 2007 end.
