Hero Group buys TSC of Scotland for $8 mn
 
Hero Group has acquired Scotland's Telecom Service Centers (TSC). The deal worth $8.1 million would merge TSC with HeroITeS into TSC Hero without making any alteration in the management.  
    
Boeing to set up a captive unit
 
Boeing, which has gained a foothold in Indian commercial and defense aviation, is looking at setting up a captive centre and defense sub-assembly line in India. The company intends to have business of more than $50-60 billion in the long run.  
    
Wipro BPO to expand in smaller towns
 
After tapping big cities, Wipro intends launching its third phase of expansion of BPO outsourcing operations in smaller towns. The company prefers to have people who would work with them for longer periods by making sure they began with realistic expectations.  
    
RR Donnelley & Sons inaugurate BPO facility at Technopark 

RR Donnelley & Sons launched its BPO facility at the Technopark to offer financial management services and transaction processing to the US and European clients. The choice of location was due to easy access to a large group of skilled talent.  
    
Tata wins pharma outsourcing deal with Roche 

TCS has clinched a multi-year pharma outsourcing deal with Roche. TCS will provide BPO services to Roche's drug development organization. Indian media puts the deal at $30-50million. TCS wants to now focus on the pharmaceutical industry.  
    
Fiserv's Costa Rica Center to offer services for its banking industry 

Fiserv's Costa Rican center will provide technical-support, software development and BPO services to Fiserv for its banking industry. This is Fiserv's fifth global delivery center outside US.
    
Convergys and Telecom Egypt in consulting deal 

Convergys and Telecom Egypt have signed a consulting deal for an undisclosed amount, wherein Convergys will align Telecom Egypt's billing system with the Infinys billing system.  
    
BT gives Accenture high-end accounting contract  

BT Group, an aggressive user of outsourcing, has signed a contract with Accenture for dealing with high-end accounting operations. Accenture will manage the project from its Indian centers.
